20/07/2001 to 09/05/2007 'To my friend who lit up my life with your golden spirit, so gentle and kind, you celebrated courage, character and life in all it's fullness' Lucy we miss you and we'll never forget you. We're glad we saved you and gave you the care and attention that you hadn't known for the first 18 months of your life. You were in so much pain towards the end and our only happiness in losing you is knowing that your pain has gone and your in a better place. Forever in our hearts. Love, Marc, Steph & Caitlin
We are very lucky and feel very privileged to have Lucy. She was offered to us as an eighteen-month old who had little training or socialisation. She was my 25th Birthday present, a boxer, the dog I had always wanted but was always denied the opportunity by my parents who unlike me aren't very big dog lovers. Lucy isn't a show dog, she was never meant to be. She was bought long before BOXSTA existed, but she was the inspiration behind Boxsta. Steph started speaking to local breeders with a view to breeding Lucy, and with a strong Bucksteps line it wasn't long before we found a suitable mate. That mate was Ch Boxken Big Issue JW, owned & cared for by Shelly Turner & Linda Box, a pair we soon befriended and remain very good friends with to this day. It was this mating that truly set the Boxsta flame alight. She produced Mitch amongst others (but he's another story). |
